Carter's Karate Party

For his 5th birthday, Carter had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle karate party at North Texas MMA in Prosper.

Mr. Cruz lined everyone up and put them to work.  Carter showed everyone how to block, punch and kick.  Everyone had a blast playing tag, running through the obstacle course, kicking Mr. Cruz and battling each other with the big pads.  Even the girls were fighting hard!

The best game of the day was Daddy Dodgeball.  All the dads lined up in the middle between the boys and girls, and the kids had to get them out.  It was a blast!

Carter had a big fight with Mr. Cruz in front of everyone.  He blocked punches, flipped him over and then pinned him down to the ground!

To finish out the party activities, Carter broke a board with his foot.  It was awesome, and he was so proud!

After all the wild fun downstairs, everyone went up to the classroom for snacks, cake and presents.  The whole day was a ton of fun with great friends and family.

Carter's 5th Birthday at Great Wolf Lodge

Nana decided to take everyone to Great Wolf Lodge for a few days, and I was lucky enough to have my birthday during the trip.  We got to Grapevine a little early to check out the Lego store and have some lunch.

At check-in time, we were off to the hotel.  When we first arrived, we were so excited to see the huge waterpark through the glass!

We spent some time exploring the massive hotel and found some great spots to take pictures.

If the hotel weren't cool enough, we found out that our rooms had kid cabins.  We had bunk beds and our own TV...all to ourselves!

Brenley was too small for the bunk beds, but we included her in the fun when we could.

There were so many awesome things to see and do.  We loved roaming around the hotel in our wolf ears!  I howled all over the place.

We also got magic wands and were able to go on quests all over the hotel.  Our wands would open treasure chests, reveal secret messages and all sorts of other cool things.  I think our parents got tired of chasing us up and down the stairs on our adventures, but everyone was excited when we finally defeated the dragon!

There was a pretty awesome restaurant near our room, and we had lots of fun eating there.  No one even cared if we made lots of noise!

Each night there is storytime and a show down in the lobby.  We went down to watch and even had our picture taken with some of the characters.

There was a kids club to play around in and do crafts, and Campbell, Peyton and I had tons of fun.  Everywhere you look in this hotel, there is something fun to do.

The ice cream shop was a big hit....

...and so were tatoos and the arcade!

My birthday was extra special, and mom and dad let me open up presents in the room.  I love my family so much!

We had a big birthday celebration at dinner.  I got presents from everyone!  I am one lucky boy.

Brenley was so excited, she eventually just passed out.

Mom managed to fulfill my request for a ninja turtle cookie cake.  We ate it up and drew lots of attention with our noisemakers.

If the hotel wasn't fun enough, there was a waterpark both inside and outside!  Miss Brenley couldn't participate too much, but she hung out poolside when she could.

The outdoor water park was really fun.  I loved running from the huge waterfall when the wolves started to howl!



It was really hot outside, so we spent most of our time at the indoor park.  I loved playing in the kids area and jumping across the lily pads.  The wave pool was fun too.  I can't wait until I'm taller and can go down the big slides with my cousins.




 

Overall, it was an awesome few days.  Better than anything else was just getting to goof around with all of my cousins in one place.
