First Day of Pre-K

By mid-August, it was time to head back to school.  I had been counting down the days until I got to start Pre-K!  Mom and Dad dropped me off, and they insisted on walking down to my room with me.  I ran in and immediately started playing.  I love my teachers Ms. Jenna and Ms. Krista, so I know it is going to be an awesome year.  My favorite thing is when we get to watch a movie instead of taking a nap.  I also get punches in my card for being good, and after 3 weeks I got to pick a prize from the treasure chest!

The beginning of school also means it is birthday party season.  One weekend, we had four birthday parties to attend, with three of them on the same day!  First, I went to Jack's party at the fire station. It was awesome touring the station, meeting firemen, hitting the pinata and walking through a fire truck.

 After a quick lunch, we were off to the SciTech Discovery Center for a science party. We got to make gloopity-gloop and trufalla trees.  I had a great time exploring all the hands-on science exhibits.

 From there, we went straight to Pump it Up for a pirate bounce house party. Three parties and cakes made for one tired guy by the evening!

 Recently, we got to go to the Prosper town picnic.  We had sno-cones, played on the playground, and bounced around by the lake.  It was so fun!

I am enjoying my new town and my new school year!

Big Brother!!!!

So it turns out that my mom and dad know how to keep secrets from me!  In the middle of June, I told mom that I had been thinking and that I decided that I wanted  a baby.  Well, it turns out she already had one in her tummy!  She didn't tell me for six more weeks though!  Boy was I surprised and excited when Dad gave me my big brother shirt and a picture of my new baby.

I've been very patient waiting for a chance to see and hear my baby, so mom and dad surprised me again by taking me for a private scan to see.  It was really cool seeing everything on the screen and hearing the heartbeat.

 They told me that I could be the first to know if it was a boy or a girl, so I finally got to surprise them.  The tech called me over and whispered into my ear.  I turned around with a huge grin and shouted "It's a SISTER!"

 I am so excited to be a big brother, and I've already started picking things out for the baby.  Now we just have to be very patient while it grows big and strong.  I can't wait until February!!!

Oklahoma!

In early August, I went on a crazy trip to Oklahoma with my mom, Nana, Aunt Jenny and the girls.  Daddy got us all loaded up, and off we went.

 We had our first pit stop at a random Dairy Queen for lunch and of course... ice cream!  After being cooped up in the car for a while, I was doing some crazy moves to stretch my legs.

 Our first stop was in Lawton, OK.  We drove to the top of Mount Scott and got out to look around.

 I swore I saw some dinosaur tracks, so Nana took us down the mountain to get a closer look.  I really wanted to go hunt those dinosaurs down, but the ladies wouldn't let me!  Being on top of a mountain was pretty awesome.

 At the bottom of the mountain there was a replica of Jerusalem.  It was very hot, but we had a good time looking around the town.

 After all that sight-seeing, it was time for another ice cream stop!  YUMMY!

 We finally arrived at the Embassy Suites in Norman, OK and got a good night's sleep.  The next day we went to the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History on the Oklahoma University campus.

 I finally got to see some real dinosaurs!!!   I absolutely loved them and wanted to see more!

 In the kids hands on section, I dug for fossils, colored dinosaur pictures, looked at specimens and played with a skeleton.

 We found a canoe to play in at the Indian exhibit.

 Our trip to the museum ended with a trip to the gift shop.  Nana got me this awesome dinosaur.  "La la looooo!"

 We decided to drive north to Oklahoma City to see Bricktown.  The best part was finding the candy shop where I got a gigantic jawbreaker on a stick.

 That night Aunt Liz and Uncle John met us at the hotel, and we went to dinner at the Cracker Barrel.  Campbell and I pretended to play a crazy game of checkers outside.

 The next day we literally went exploring.  We drove to a nearby lake, pulled over and trudged through the brush to get to an open spot closer to the water.  We were on the hunt for rose rocks!  We wandered and dug in the heat until we found them.

 I really liked the huge rocks that I found.  They were heavy.  Nana was so happy to find her rocks.

 We even drove out to a small rose rock museum. They had some awesome rocks.

 The next day we went home, but we stopped at Turner Falls near Davis, OK.

It was a wild and crazy adventure, but a fun way to wrap up my summer!
