Home for the Holidays

The past week was one of the most exciting weeks ever! Last weekend we moved all our stuff into the new house and started unpacking like crazy. I love my new house so much that I never want to leave. Mommy even tried to take me to the movies, but I did not want to go. After the first official dinner in the house, I even slept in my new big boy bed all by myself the very first night. The awesome Spiderman sheets are my favorite! After only having a few days to unpack, we were expecting lots of visitors for Thanksgiving. I specifically asked mommy to make me a pumpkin pie for the festivities, and she she said yes. She did the measuring, but I did all the pouring and lots of stirring. It went into the oven as I went off to bed, and when I woke up on Tuesday...it was ready! I never would try it, but it sure looked delicious. By Wednesday, all our guests had arrived: Aunt Elizabeth & Uncle John, Nana, Nannie, Uncle Daniel, Uncle Clint, Aunt Lori and the boys. I was so excited to have ALL my cousins over at my house that I could hardly stand it. I love them all so much, and we have so much fun together. It was wild and crazy, but so much fun. We played outside with sports equipment, sidewalk chalk, & empty boxes (which are always the best), and we bounced around on the new trampoline that Nana gave me for Christmas. My new big back yard had plenty of room for all of us. Thanksgiving morning we watched the parade together and then ate a delicious lunch. The kids table was the place to be for a fun time! Thanksgiving night we cheered on the Aggies in their last game against t.u. for a while. They lost, but we love them anyway! Friday we took a break from the turkey with pictures and mexican food. It is so great when everyone is together. On Saturday everyone headed home, and I got started on the Christmas decorations. Mommy and Daddy were laughing at me, but these are stockings right? This time of year is so much fun, and we are so happy to be home for the holidays!

Fall Fun

Things have been crazy the last few weeks and Mommy's cameras are having some issues, so I've gotten a bit behind on my blog.  During the week, things are pretty normal with school, swimming lessons and playing with the girls.  Occasionally I find time to do a little artwork.  I was especially proud of this awesome dinosaur.  ROAR!  I also thoroughly enjoyed my very first Ring Pop.  Leftover Halloween candy is tasty!

A few weekends ago we went down to Nederland for a visit.  I went to see the all the boys play soccer, and we had a great time.  It was fun playing with a big group of guys for a change! 

My PaPa Collins was so excited about my visit that he bought some new tools to help me pick some oranges off his tree.  We filled up an entire grocery bag and barely made a dent in his crop.  Mama even let me pick a lemon or two.  Of course I had fun with all my family, and as always, the visit was far too short. 

The big excitement around here has been centered around my new house. We have been going several times a week to check the progress. One night Daddy and I kicked the soccer ball around in the backyard. I can't wait until I can play out there every single night.

It was awesome getting to tape up the walls so the painters knew where to touch up. I know I will be eating MANY meals in my new kitchen, too.

Last night we had a special dinner with Aunt Jenny, Uncle Troy and the girls.  Since they are out of town this weekend, it was our last dinner all living together. I'm going to miss seeing them everyday, and I'm so thankful they let us stay for a while!  Today was the big day that Mommy and Daddy got to sign the papers. We couldn't walk on the wood floor because it had just been finished, but we went into the kitchen through the back and hung out for a little while. 

Tomorrow starts the big move, and in a few days everyone will arrive for Thanksgiving.  What a wonderful life to be thankful for!!!

Happy Halloween

Parties, candy and costumes are three of my favorite things, and there were plenty of them this Halloween weekend. Saturday I went to a friend's birthday party at the indoor soccer field, and then headed over to my soccer buddy Audrey's house for a Halloween party. I dressed up as a pirate, and we played pass the pumpkin, Mummy (or mommy) wrapping, and there was even a pinata. My friends and I partied like crazy and had so much fun! On Sunday, we helped Uncle Troy carve a pumpkin. At first I didn't want to touch the pumpkin guts, but I eventually helped clean that pumpkin out. Monday we had a party at school, and that night I got dressed in my Woody costume. We went trick or treating with my cousins and their neighborhood friends. I was the lone boy in a herd of girls, and everyone thought I was adorable. We walked all over the neighborhood and got tons of candy. I even found a pirate ship that was pretty awesome. I ended the night by helping pass out candy to the other kids, and that was almost more fun than the trick-or-treating. Today we went by my new house to check on the progress. The driveway and patio were poured and ready for me to ride my scooter on! I was especially excited to find that the light fixtures were in and working, and better yet, I can reach the switches. It's coming along quickly, and I can't wait to celebrate Thanksgiving with everyone in my new home!
