A Very Rough Trip

It has been a long, difficult day today. We got up and headed to the airport to head down for my great Uncle Jerry's funeral. It was my very first airpline ride!!! I played and laughed the whole flight, and mommy and daddy were so happy. Once Nannie picked us up, mommy noticed tons of fluid gushing from my left ear. She called the doctor, and they said to head straight to emergency room. Nannie immediately changed routes, and off we went for my first ER visit. Turns out I had an ear infection that we didn't know about, and the pressure from the plane burst my eardrum!!! I'm on some medicine, and it should heal itself. In the meantime, I'm getting lots of hugs and kisses. Here's a picture from my hospital visit (taken with Nannie's phone)! Happy Valentine's Day, President's Day,....and more!

So, this is going to be a long one folks. I have just been up to so much! Believe me, I've been tired, too. Sometimes I don't even want to wake up to eat (zzzzzzzzzzzzzz).

We had quite a wild weekend down in Nederland. On Friday night we loaded up and made the trip down through a horrible storm. It was worth it to see everyone though :) We had a super fun Valentine's Day!
I had fun hanging with my family. Here is a picture of all the Bell Boys (including new cousin Peyton)!

I was a pretty fussy mommy's boy all weekend though because I wasn't feeling good. I wanted to put everything in my mouth. Wouldn't you know it, by Sunday I had gotten my first tooth!!!

After the short visit, we headed back to Frisco. On the road again!!

Monday was President's Day, and daddy had the day off. He stayed home with me, and we had a blast playing around.

I even got to try some squash. I LOVE it!
After all that mess, I get to play around in the tub.
Mommy says I am getting too big and growing up too fast. If you are looking for me online at daycare, I am transitioning to the next room this week. Starting next Monday, I'll be in there to stay! Hope everyone has a great week, and I'll update you soon :)

Take Cover!

That's right, you get new posts two days in a row! My life has just been that busy! Daddy took me to the doctor today, and my ear infection is finally gone. I got my shots, and took them like a champ. As soon as Daddy picked me up, I quit crying.


Because I was so good, I got to go to my first basketball games. I loved watching the people run up and down the court. I fell asleep at the end of the boys game, but woke up just in time to see them win in overtime. (I enjoyed hanging out with the cheerleaders for a bit too. One day I'll get a picture.)




About 5 minutes after we got home, a horrible storm blew in. The tornado sirens went off and the whole family (yes, that includes Rocco) piled into the guest bathroom. I didn't really know what was going on, but we are all safe! (I think I get to sleep with mommy and daddy tonight since there is a watch until 5am..hehe.)


Overall, since I've been feeling better, I have been VERY happy boy! Hope everyone else is happy too. Night night!

En Fuego!

I am on fire today, in more ways than one! At school today we had a fire drill. I did NOT enjoy it one single bit. In fact, I screamed uncontrollably the entire time even though I was LIFO (last in the crib, first out). I'm over it though.

I've been feeling much better, and daddy is taking me back to the doctor tomorrow. If I'm all well, I'll have to get my shots. But....if I'm a good boy, I get to go to my first basketball game. Mommy's student wrote a letter asking her to come for teacher appreciation night, so we all get to go! I've been practicing my dunking so I can show those kids how it's done. (Thanks Auntie Susan!!!)

This is fun. How about a little one-on-one?

Happy Belated Birthday, Nana!

It has been a busy week, so I'm running a bit behind. Happy belated birthday Nana! I love and miss you, and we will be coming to see you very soon.

This week has been a little crazy. Nannie was here over the weekend and stayed until Wednesday. She let me skip school one day so we could stay home and play. It was a blast! Then daddy wanted to bring me to school one day, but he forgot my bottles and had to come back. It was quite an adventure! I still have a cough and runny nose, but I'll go back to the doctor early next week. Hopefully a weekend at home will do the trick!

Happy Half-Birthday to Me!!

So, all kinds of things have been happening the past few days. I guess I'll start from the beginning......

Thursday, January 29th was my half-birthday!! Happy 6 months to me! Aren't I getting so big?

Mommy and Daddy bundled me up and we headed to the doctor for my check-up.

Good news: I got out of my shots! I also get to start eating baby food and practicing with a sippy cup. Bad news: I have my first ear infection. I have to take antibiotics for 10 days and then go back. Here are my stats:

16.3 lbs (25-30%), 25.8'' (40-50%), head circumference 16.3'' (10%)

Saturday was a crazy day as well. I finally decided to show everyone that I can roll over from my back to my tummy. I love chasing after my ball and grabbing my toes. I'll be crawling before you know it!



Mommy went to her Academic Decathalon competition on Saturday, too. Her team came in 2nd in the Region, and she gave me her medal. Don't I look sharp?

Today, I got to eat baby food for the first time. Daddy picked PEAS as my first food! I wasn't too sure what to think of it, but I eventually ate a bit.

Then later this afternoon I got to drink some water from a sippy cup. I knew EXACTLY what to do without any help. I think I just need a smaller cup :)

Well, I've got to go get ready to watch my first Superbowl with daddy, mommy and Nannie. Have a great week!!
