The Adventures of Carter and Brenley B

Our elf, Buddy, returned on December 1st and filled our advent calendar with candy canes and good deeds for each day of the month. I was so glad that he was back. I had been asking mom for months when he would return!

Our first good deed was to bake cookies and bring them to the fire department. I was surprised when the firemen invited us in and gave us a private tour. I got to see the inside of the station, sit in the driver's seat of a fire engine, listen to the sirens and meet the firedog, Smokey! What an awesome surprise.

I also got surprised by getting the computer award from Ms. Davis for the 2nd 9 weeks. I was so excited!

We were also in for a big surprise when we got iced in for almost a week. I got to miss 3 full days of school! It looked like snow on the ground, but it was really just super thick ice. I had a blast sliding down the hill "penguin style".

After the ice storm, basketball season got up and running. Brenley got all dressed up to watch my debut as a Mighty Eagle basketball player.

It was a really tough game, but I tried my hardest and hustled up and down the court.

As always, my fans were in the house rooting me on!

In mid-December, Mom and Aunt Liz took me to the Prosper Christmas parade and festival. It was so much fun! I visited with the characters, played games, got a balloon animal and tattoo, jumped in the bounce house and enjoyed all the people in the parade. I snacked on some cotton candy, too!

Aunt Liz and Uncle John also hosted a cookie party for all the kids. We took some pictures, decorated some cookies and played around.

One benefit of the ice storm was that Nana got stuck here for a while. We got to spend a lot of time with her and had a wonderful time. Brenley and mom kept her entertained while I was at school with lots of shopping and even a trip to the salon.

One day at the mall, Brenley shoplifted this monkey! Nana and Mommy were so surprised, but they eventually got it back to the store.

With her criminal past, it was time to put that girl behind bars. Not really, but she wasn't very happy that we finally installed a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs!

She also took her first wagon ride, and she really loved it!

We also got to go to another golf lesson and have dinner at the club. Brenley came to cheer me on!

We also got to have dinner with girls a few nights, and we had some crazy fun.

While shopping at the mall one day, Mom got a startling call from my principal saying I was in her office. Luckily, she was calling so we could tell her that I had received the REACH award nomination for the month from my teacher. Everyone was so proud that I was going to be honored at the assembly the next week. Our elf, Buddy, even left me an encouraging note!

The last day of school before the break was SO MUCH FUN! We started the day with the assembly where I got honored with my award. I had a huge smile on my face, and everyone was so excited for me.

After the assembly was our holiday party. As room parent, mom had worked very hard to plan everything, and we had a really great time. We decorated cookies, built marshmallow snowmen, listened to a story and made ornaments. Dad was even there to help!

As always, Miss Thang was up to her crazy antics around the house. She has so much personality and has already started walking everywhere! That crazy baby is almost running already!

I love my sister so much, and she loves me!

At our last basketball game before the holiday break, I really played my heart out. Miss Brenley missed most of the game, but that was okay.

I ended up scoring 2 points and was named offensive MVP of the game for my hustle, coachability and always playing with a smile. We were so excited that we went out to celebrate with a slice of pizza.

Brenley even got to have some, and she loved it! We had fun entertaining each other by playing peek-a-boo under the table.

You know Christmas is almost here when it is time to make the fudge. This year mom let me help with the stirring, and we all know that is the most important part! It turned out DELICIOUS!
