Kindergarten!!!!!!

August 23 finally arrived...MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT!  I got a postcard in the mail earlier in the week from my teacher, Mrs. Woodard.  She seemed very nice, and I couldn't wait to meet her.  We got to Cockrell and found my room.  I was so glad she had a whale sign by her door because she it made her very easy to find.

I found my seat and looked around while mom filled out some paperwork. I was so excited to see all the books, and I really loved the microscope in the back of the room!

 

 
Mrs. Woodard gave us a bag of stuff including a bag of magic confetti.  I spread it under my pillow the night before school started to give me sweet dreams.  Mom made me wait a while to go to bed, but I tried to go to sleep at 6:30 right after dinner.  I was so excited for the next day!

I also looked through my new BOB books and was able to read an entire book to mom!  She and dad were so proud, and it made me feel like I was ready for Kindergarten.

I got up and dressed myself extra early.  Mom made me pancakes, eggs and bacon to start my day off right.

I was soooo excited to wear my Ninja Turtle backpack and carry the matching lunchkit Nannie bought me.  I was a little disappointed that I couldn't ride the bus, but Mom and Dad really wanted to take me.

We walked up to the school, and I found my room right away.  I am so excited to be a Woodard Whale!

Brenley sure missed me while I was at school all week, but she kept mom busy crawling around the house.

By Friday, I was still smiling!  Mom, Brenley and Nana came up to have lunch with me.

I LOVE KINDERGARTEN!!!

Pre-K Graduation and the End of Summer

While I spent most of the summer home with mom, the Blue Elephant invited me back to participate in Pre-K graduation.  I had lots of guest in attendance including my parents and sister, Aunt Liz and Uncle John, Poppy, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Troy and the girls.  I was so excited to sit up in front of everyone while Ms. Jenna and Ms. Krista called me up for my diploma and medal.

 

 Afterward we celebrated with an awesome brunch at IHOP!

 The Prosper football team had a midnight pep rally, and my dad let me stay up and go.  We got to run around on the field, see the football players and band, eat sno-cones and watch fireworks!  I have a feeling I'm going to love going to school in Prosper.

 I have tried to make the most of my summer by playing a lot around the house.  Water gun fights are always fun, and ninja turtles are the best!

 

 I've practiced some tennis, and I went to a local soccer clinic to freshen up my skills for the fall season.

 My friend Nehemiah invited me to an FC Dallas game, and I got to go....without my parents!  I was so excited to be off on my own, but they can't believe I'm old enough to do that yet.  I know this school year is going to bring many more adventures, and lots more independence!
 

Brenley is Six Months Old!

Brenley is getting so big, so fast!  She loves to eat anything and everything she can.

 She also loves to smile and laugh.  She is so much fun to play with now!

 She has started crawling all over the place, and she loves to go places she isn't supposed to!  When Mommy tells her to stop, she just looks back and smiles before doing it anyway.

 
She has even started pulling up on things.  The doctor couldn't believe how strong she was and that she was crawling at five months old.  He said that she has extremely advanced gross motor skills.  I think she is just determined to get what she wants!

We celebrated her turning six months with a dip in the pool at Aunt Liz's.  She is so adorable in her swimsuit and hat.  She always swims herself right into a nap!

 We also had some pictures taken at Chesnut Square in McKinney.  It was fun running around all the old historical houses.

The past six months have flown by, and I have a feeling the next six will too!
