We Miss You Daddy!!

So, Daddy went off for a fun weekend at the ranch. As much as I wanted to go, Daddy and I decided it would be best if I stayed home to take care of mommy. She's feeling much better, but we didn't think she should have to pack and do all of that riding in the car. It's been rough with her under the weather. Daddy and I had conflicting strategies of how to get her well. I thought I should be right beside her at all times and Daddy wanted to give her space to rest. He had the advantage of being able to close doors, but I made sure she could hear me at all times!! Other than that it was business as usual, reading my books, playing with my toys and getting into mischeif. It's always fun to harrass Rocco when he's trying to hide in his crate! I did get in trouble on Friday for biting at school. That big kid kept trying to take my toys though! Mommy said that's no excuse for biting though. Guess I'll have to work on my temper.

Since Dad has been gone, mom and I have been playing around like crazy! I spent most of my time this morning playing in the laundry basket and plastic bin while mommy did chores. I thought it was so funny :) After naptime we went out to lunch at Scotty P's! Mommy thought I was so well behaved. I was fascinated by all the soccer and football kids that were running around. Then we took a trip to Target where I got a CD player for my room and some new CDs. Awesome!! I was disappointed I didn't get the "Sock monkey"-in-a-box, but maybe for Christmas. We played with it on the shelf, and I thought it was AWESOME!!! When we got back, it was time to go outside...my favorite!! How many pieces of sporting equipment can I hold at one time? Answer: not enough! I lovemy football and even take it with me in the car. I've also mastered hitting the ball off the tee. Homerun!!!! No matter how many sports there are to play, I always take time to pick mommy a flower. So pretty. I also had fun playing in my house and going down the slide. It has been such a busy day, and we still have the rest of the weekend to go. I'm taking great care of Mommy, Rocco & Bella. We hope Daddy, Adam, Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle John are having as much fun as us. We miss you and wish we were there!!!!

Happy Halloween!

Fall is here, and Halloween has come and gone! It was a pretty busy day, and I had a really fun time. Mommy made my costume herself, and I looked pretty adorable in it. I loved running around as Evel Knievel! I was ready for some high-flying tricks! In the early afternoon, mommy, daddy and I headed down to the park for our neighborhood's fall festival. There were bounce houses, face painting, games, a band, and all kids of things to see. I watched everyone, and loved dancing to the music. Mommy was still sick, but she managed to go for a little while so we could have some fun. Daddy helped me decorate a miniature pumpkin, and I carried it around EVERYWHERE after that. Later that night Daddy took me to a Halloween party with my cousins. I didn't do any actual trick-or-treating, but we didn't have any come by our house either. So all the leftover candy is mine, ALL MINE!!! Earlier in the week, I had my 15 month doctor's appointment. I got an A+ in development and health because I am a growing boy! My height and weight were in the 25% at 21 lbs, 30.3 inches. I also got to have a Halloween party at school. They let me have cake and cookies, and all kinds of awesome stuff. I was on a cakester high for quite a while. Mommy said I was being quite the "character!" Other than that, I've just been busy playing around waiting for mommy to get well. My new favorite game is sliding down off of mommy and daddy's big bed. I like to trick people by sliding half-way and then standing on the footboard, and I think it's hysterical when I go too fast and fall on my hiney :) Another fun week to go!

The Big 100!

Wow! We've reached my 100th post! I have had so many adventures, and I hope everyone enjoys my stories. It's been a long time since my last post because Mommy has been very sick, and I've been busy taking care of her with Daddy. We'll start from two weekends ago when Mommy and Daddy were getting very frustrated with me because I kept screaming at the pantry door. They said I did not need another snack and would NOT let me in there. After a few hours of this on and off, Daddy finally let me in. Do you know what I wanted? All I wanted was a FOOTBALL! Earlier in the day I noticed there was one in there, and I didn't know it was this cooking thing called a crockpot. Mommy and Daddy thought it was hysterical, and finally got me a real football to play with. I carried it around all day! Mealtime has gotten a little more interesting lately as well. I still love food, and I eat lots and lots every day! It makes me happy :) Well, unless I don't get to eat what I want at the moment I want. Then I practice throwing temper tantrums. I thought I had perfected them, but now Mommy and Daddy just ignore them (or they laugh and take a picture). I would also like for everyone to know that I am a big boy, really I am. I demand that I have a spoon at every meal whether I use it or not. During a recent snack of watermelon, cantalope, and honeydew melon, I ventured into fork territory. Yum! This past Saturday was Daddy's 30th birthday party! I love parties, and I had so much fun playing with Hannah and Campbell in the playroom. I even helped Daddy play poker for a while after we opened his presents. With mommy so sick, we were lucky Nannie was in town for the celebration. She took care of all the details, and we had a blast. She let me play outside in the back and explore in the front. I thought the flags were pretty cool, and I really liked Mommy's new pumpkin decorations. Fall is here! Other than that, I've just been busy playing and taking care of Bella and Rocco. My new favorite place to play is inside a plastic box, mostly because it makes people laugh. I'll update again soon with all my Halloween adventures!!!!

Fever, Fever Go Away!!

What a rough week. Nannie came in last weekend to play with me, and it is a good thing she did. She kept me home from school on Monday to hang out and have some fun, but by the afternoon I was sick as could be! I ended up having some crazy virus (not the flu) that gave me 102 fever until Thursday. I got a new Elmo balloon to make me feel better, and it kept me distracted for a while. I felt so bad that I just wanted to lay around, cuddle and read the occasional book. A warm bath was pretty nice, too. Nannie, mommy and daddy took turns taking care of me, and I missed the entire week of school. This weekend I was finally able to go outside because the weather was beautiful. Daddy took me to the park and all around town on Saturday. We had a blast. Today we went to a different park with the girls, and I wore myself out. Mommy forgot the camera, so we only have shots of my indoor escapades. Today I was busy helping Daddy measure some things in the study, and I ran across a suprise. I rediscovered my bouncer! I didn't like being in it as much as I enjoyed climbing up and INTO it. That part was awesome!! I also figured out tonight that if Mommy is distracted while brushing her teeth, you can unroll the toilet paper all around the house and then destroy it. So much fun. I've gotten really good at putting money in my piggy bank, and my new favorite phrase is "Uh oh!" Hopefully this will be a much better and healthier week. We have Daddy's birthday celebration just around the corner!

Welcome Bella!

My week started off very exciting because I got a package! I grabbed it, sat down and ripped it open. It was a Texans jumpsuit from my Nannie! It is awesome!! I carried it all around the house. This weekend Nannie decided to come up and visit me, and I tried it on for her. We played on the floor, looked at fish on her computer, and read lots of books. The cold weather finally arrived, but I don't mind it at all. Cold or not, I want to be outside. Mom bundled me up and out we went. So much fun! Today we got a new addition to our family....Bella the Beta fish!! I absolutely love fish. Real fish, toy fish, fish on the TV or computer, and even goldfish crackers :) I like to say fish, and I love to point and them and laugh. All that joy made daddy want to get me my own aquarium. We started off small, but hopefully we can get Bella a few friends very soon. Other than that, I've been up to all kinds of mischief. I can't ever stay still, and I love getting into trouble. If you tell me no, it just makes me smile. Like here, right after everyone hollered at me to quit touching the TV :) Tomorrow I get to play hookey from school to stay home and play with Nannie. I can't wait!

A Typical Week of Fun

The past week was pretty standard. School was great, and I had my first school pictures taken. They are pretty adorable according to mommy. One afternoon, I went out back with daddy and picked her a flower. I carried it all the way back across the yard, into the house and brought it to her. She was so happy that she wore it in her hair all evening! There was lots of cuddling and giggling going on!! Later in the week we were on the patio and I decided to start dunking my basketball all on my own. I was shooting basketballs, soccer balls, and anything that would fit through the hoop. This weekend Nana & PawPaw came to town, and picked me up from school on Friday. They took me to the playground (which made me happy because it was outside!). I met up with them again at Kaly's soccer game. It was a bit chilly, so I had to wear my new Aggie jacket. Gig 'em! While Mommy went with all the girls to see Mary Poppins, I hung out with the guys and Campbell. We had a great time. Saturday night we celebrated Daddy's birthday a few weeks early since Nana & PawPaw can't come to his party. We had ice cream cake, and it was awesome. This morning we all went to IHOP for breakfast, and then we've just been hanging out at the house all day. I was pretending to drive the car with my Wii wheel and car seat. You have to make the sound effects too..."bbrrrrrrr, brrrrrrrrr". Of course we've been watching football, and I've been wrestling around with the soccer ball and laundry basket. Where there is sports, there must also be food. I just love to eat!! I've had a wonderful week and can't wait for the next one :)
