What Pandemic?

I'm just not sure what all this "swine flu" hype is about. Mommy's school doesn't seem to be shutting down anytime soon (even though all the ones nearby are), and mine isn't either. I think it's all being blown a bit out of proportion. I'm not losing any sleep about it, and neither is Paw Paw. We had fun together this weekend.

I hung out with my cousins and grandparents this weekend, and I wore myself out. I slept until 7:00am on Sunday! I also got my very first bruise. I tried to pull up on the table, and my hand slipped on some clothes that were up there. I bonked my head on the table, and it hurt! I healed up pretty quickly though. Sunday I took a head first dive off the chair in the living room! My parents are very protective of me, but I snuck by them! It was a little scary, but I wasn't hurt. I've been unsuccessfully trying to do it again :)

I've really perfected my temper tantrums, and I throw them when mommy and daddy tell me "no". I'm starting to figure out that some things just aren't worth the fight. They do not give in! No fun. I've also started throwing them every morning when mommy leaves me at school. I don't like to make her sad, but I wish she would stay and play with us. She keeps saying "Just a few more weeks!" HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANNIE!

Happy Birthday Nannie! I hope you had a wonderful day. I wish I was there to play with you, but I'm sure I'll see you soon. I love you and miss you!

Today I had a fairly major discovery. Not only can I go around the coffee table to the right, I can go LEFT TOO! I'm not as efficient going that way, but it keeps me from having to go all the way around. Mommy's shortcut of putting things to my left is over!
My new favorite trick is headbutting things. I think it's great. I headbutt my crib, my toys, the couch...and this afternoon...MOMMY! I busted her lip. It bled and everything! She forgave me though. A little bit of ice, and it was all better...see :)
Earlier in the week, daddy stayed home with me, and I was a very good boy. I even took a nap in my swing while he had a meeting!
I do like to get into mischief, and I'm all about testing boundaries. You can't take your eyes off of me for a second. Or can you? What? I'm not doing anything...I promise!

Surgery, Cheerios, and Fun!

So, today was the big day! I finally got tubes in my ears. My doctors were great, and it went REALLY fast. We got there at 6:00am and left at 7:30am! They suctioned out all the fluid and popped those tubes in with lightning speed. I was a little cranky when I woke up because I was hungry, but a bottle and then nap on the way home made me feel much better.
My doctor said I'd be back to normal by the afternoon, and I was. He even called me at home tonight to see how I was feeling. He's the best! Daddy stayed home with me today, and we played. (I even got to stay in my jammies all day!)

In other events of the week, Mommy has been letting me snack on Cheerios and some fruit/veggie poofs :) They are pretty yummy, but I mostly like to play with them or feed them to Rocco.On Sunday, I was very interested in reading the paper with daddy. I went through every ad searching for deals!

Other fun things I have discovered are squealing (the higher pitch, the better) and making funny noises by blowing on the coffee table. Mommy and daddy always have to yell at me because I try to bite the glass coffee table sometimes. Also, if you leave the back door open, I'll make a mad dash to get outside!

STUCK!

It was a pretty low key week, so I don't have too much news to report. I'm still crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything, so my parents have to be on their toes. I have always liked to crawl up under the coffee table, but earlier this week I made it ALL the way in. Once both my feet got off the ground though, I got scared. I was STUCK! I kept forgetting that it scared me, so I did it several times in a row. Mommy and daddy laughed, but I didn't think it was funny!

Another tooth is coming in on the bottom, and the ladies at daycare have been sneaking me Cheerios. I think mommy is going to break down and buy me some this weekend. I've got all kinds of skills with my sippy cup now, and I drink my water and juice like a champ. Laughing and babbling are my favorite things to do at the moment, and everyone around me seems to like them too!

On Tuesday of next week, I am getting the tubes put into my ears. I can't wait to feel better! I'm sure my parents will keep everyone updated. Well, I played with my cousins all day today, so I am pooped! Night night!

Crawlin' and Cruisin'

Sorry my post has been delayed a bit. I have been so busy crawling around that I forgot to stop and update the blog. Last week there were some pretty days, so Rocco and I spent some time chilling outside. Daddy blew bubbles and we tried to pop them!I've been so busy moving all the time that the other day I fell asleep in the middle of a bite of sweet potatoes. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
One of my most recent discoveries is that the coffee table is like a fort! I love crawling around in there!! This weekend I also figured out how to walk all the way around it. I'll be running in no time!

I did unsuccessfully try to update everyone without mommy's help. Daddy was not quite sure what I did! The screen got REALLY big though, and I think I IM'd someone in Europe :) Thank goodness for rebooting and Daddy! I love him so much that I say "DA" all the time.

This weekend Nannie and Papa Vaughn came up to visit me. They played with me all Saturday night while my parents went to a wedding. I had so much fun! Hopefully they'll be back soon.
In other news, I'm eating everything in site....and loving every bite! I eat baby chicken and veggies, all kinds of fruits, and I drink juice and water out of my sippy cup (but I make quite a mess).

I LOVE TO DANCE. I'm a party animal! I shake my hips and my head, and everyone loves to watch :) Also, Daddy showed me how to flick the springy doorstopper. That is just a BLAST. I've started crawling after people when they try to leave me behind too. I need to be where the action is!

On the health front, I went to an ENT, and he is going to put tubes in my ears (maybe this week). I think it will make me feel much better after four straight months of having my ears infected! I'll keep you posted though. Well, I'm off to play, dance, jump, and bounce some more :)

HAPPY EASTER!

What an awesome weekend! On Friday I got to stay home from school and visit with my Nana and my cousins. Everyone came into town! That night I got to go to my first baseball game at mommy's school. I really liked it, and I got passed around quite a bit. (Mommy forgot her camera...oops!)

Saturday morning Nana was feeding me, and I was practicing my signs for "more" and "all done". She didn't believe me, so I yelled "DONE!" while waving my hands. No one is sure I knew what I was saying, but it sure sounded like it! The rest of the day we all hung out at Aunt Jenny's. Here I am with all my cousins!

It was also Rocco's 6th birthday, so we decided to have a party. We all blew out the candles to help!

Then my new cousin Campbell joined in the fun. She's only 3 weeks old. I look like a giant!!!

I spent some time playing in the Excersaucer for a while, and then we all dyed Easter eggs. It was one busy day!

I woke up today, and the Easter bunny had come! I got some new teething rings, bibs, links, books, a movie, and some eggs. I loved it! Mommy was sad because she didn't get to dress me up for church. The weather was HORRIBLE when it was time to go, so Daddy and PawPaw went and left us behind.

I went back to bed and woke up after the storm. Then we went over to play see what my cousins got and to tell them goodbye.

Overall it was a great weekend! Hope yours was great too!!

My First Easter Egg Hunt!

Today I went to my first Easter egg hunt! One of the groups at mommy's school hid eggs, had real live bunnies, a bounce house, and the Easter Bunny was there! I wasn't able to do much except for socialize, but that was fun. I had just woken up from my nap when I met the Easter bunny. I was kind of in a daze, so it was all a blur. He did say he'd hook me up with some candy on Sunday though :)
