Hello 2013

Since we couldn't go to Nederland over Christmas, everyone decided to come visit us the week after!  First it was my Nana, Uncle Clint, Aunt Lori and the boys.  The girls, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Troy, Aunt Liz and Uncle John came over too and there were presents EVERYWHERE!  It was awesome!

 We did lots of playing outside and even had leftover snow for a few days.  There's nothing like some backyard football and baseball with your cousins.

 Once the first crew left, Uncle Daniel, Nannie and PaPa Vaughn came up.  There were MORE presents for me to open! I am one lucky guy, and we spent plenty of time playing with all my new toys and even roasted some S'mores in the backyard.

It was a low key New Years and start to 2013. We have been in our normal routine since school started back up, and  I am patiently awaiting the arrival of my baby sister, Brenley.  I even got to go to a big brother class at the hospital where I learned how to take care of a baby and took a tour of the hospital.  I am officially ready for her to be here!

 It looks like there will be lots of exciting changes to come!

A White Christmas

This year we had to stay in Prosper for Christmas, but we kept ourselves busy around the house.  On the morning of Christmas Eve, we did most of our cooking.  I was most interested in baking some fresh cookies for Santa Claus!  He called me on the phone and asked me to leave him some milk and cookies, so I whipped up a batch of chocolate chip and M&M cookies with mom.  They were delicious!

 I spent most of the day in my pajamas and my new dragon slippers, Stompeez!  I wanted some so badly, and my dad made sure I got a pair for Christmas.  My parents even let me open them early so I could wear them around.

 We played around most of the day, and I made sure the special Christmas tree upstairs was fixed up exactly like I wanted it.

We got dressed up for Christmas Eve mass and got to hear Kaly sing in the choir.  

When we got home, it was time to open presents.  I got a ton of stuff!  My parents got me everything I will need for t-ball season, my relatives from Nederland sent clothes and toys, and Aunt Liz and Uncle John gave me a remote controlled boat to race in their pool!  I am one lucky guy.

We enjoyed a fancy prime rib dinner before getting ready for bed!

First I had to put up the awesome Spider-man decal my parents gave me.

Then I set out milk and cookies and made sure everything was ready for Santa before I drifted off to sleep.

On Christmas morning, I woke up to find everything that I asked for!  I got lots of Jake and the Neverland Pirates gear, a new book, an Avengers poster and watch.   I love telling everyone what time it is now!

With nowhere to go, I got to play all morning.  The fierce battles with Captain Hook were the most fun!

We had a nice lunch with the girls at their house, but we had to get home quickly because a storm was blowing in.  We drove home carefully in the rain and sleet.

By early afternoon, all that rain turned into snow!  It was big, fat, fluffy real snow, and it went on for hours!  I just had to go outside and throw some snowballs with Dad.  We even hit some with the bat and then built a snowman.  When it was all over, we ended up with five inches of snow in some places!  What a wonderful white Christmas!!!

Christmas was so much fun, and I finished up the night with some cuddle time by the fire with my mom and sister!

The day after Christmas, the roads were too icy and Dad got to work from home.  I spent the whole day in my pajamas again and had a blast playing with all my new toys...and some old ones too.

The next week will bring lots of visitors, and I can't wait.  I love the holidays!

Thanksgiving and December Fun

We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving break in 2012.  We spent a few days resting at home and then went down to Nederland.  My Nana and cousins were gone on a trip, so I spent the whole visit at Nannie's.  We played and had tons of fun and good food.  We spent Thanksgiving Day at Mama and Papa Collins' house eating, watching football and playing outside.  It was a wonderful trip!

 Back in Frisco, my cousins Mitchell, Maddie, McKenzie and Mia came over to play.  We had an awesome time.

 After Thanksgiving, it was time to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.  I helped Mom decorate the inside and Dad the outside.  We even got a new light up reindeer for the front, and I named him Mr. Baloney!  I was also thrilled to have my elf Buddy return.  As soon as my eyes open in the mornings, I'm off to find him.  I hope he brings Santa some good reports!

 I took a trip to see see Santa, had a Polar Express pajama party at school and made my parents a beautiful ornament for the tree.

 Aunt Liz tried to get us in the spirit by having a cookie decorating party.  My cousins and I had so much fun, and those cookies were DELICIOUS!

 Now that school is out, it is time to just play and countdown until Christmas Eve!  We had fun celebrating Uncle Johnny's birthday at Ernesto's.

 Dad caught me hanging out in Brenley's bed.  (I cannot wait for her to get here so we can play!)

 Of course I've been enjoying my time just hanging out around the house.  Does anyone need rescuing?
