All week I have been home playing with mommy. We've run a few errands, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Wednesday I went to swimming lessons, and after mommy pulled me in the water.... SHE LET GO! I kicked my feet and drafted behind her for about 4 seconds. Everyone was very excited, and I did it several times. It often looks like I'm going to tip over, so next week Mr. Mike is going to help me flip onto my back. If we're lucky, maybe daddy can come and take pictures. On Friday I got a new lightweight stroller. I loved playing with the wheels and the box :) (Yes, I'm covered in water. I insisted on drinking from mommy's cup!)
Today was my first 4th of July, and it was HOT! I put on my All-American Cutie outfit and was ready to play. 
Aunt Jenny, Uncle Troy and the girls came over this evening to celebrate. Mommy made a brisket and lots of sides, and I thought it was very tasty. I love eating grown-up food! To beat the heat, Kaly, Hannah and I played out back in the crazy sprinklers. I was not afraid of getting sprayed in the face, and I crawled right up and attacked it!
After all that fun, I had a bath and then we played on the floor for a while. Here's me and Kaly, and a picture of Campbell in her pretty dress. 
I don't know if I'll be able stay up long enough to see real fireworks, but I did watch them on TV. Overall, it was a really fun day.
In other news, I am clearly saying "Momma, all done, yeah, & bye bye". I walk everywhere now, and at home I only crawl so I can get to something to pull up on. Also, on Monday construction on our patio cover starts. I can't wait to be able to go outside any time I want. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!

It was lots of fun to see everyone, and I can't wait for us all to get together next month for my birthday!
I also had tons of fun with my PawPaw, Poppy, Godfather Uncle Daniel and Papa Vaughn. 
I hope you all had a wonderful day! We spent the first part of our trip in Nederland, and I saw so many people! I really liked seeing my great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It is crazy how many relatives I have! At Uncle Clint's we spent lots of time in the pool so I could practice my swimming skills. Floating around is so relaxing :) Daddy helped me go down the slide, mommy made me practice kicking, and my cousins just played with me! 
After all that swimming, Wilson helped me take a relaxing swing. 
Inside, I crawled around like crazy, played with tons of toys, and found every type of sports ball you can imagine. Ready....set...hut! 
After my extended visit to Nederland, we headed to Nannie's. She showed me the tupperware drawer, and I had a blast. The Country Crock container was my favorite :) 
I didn't get a chance to go on the boat this time, but I did get to go for my first night swim. I just love the water! 
After all that traveling, visiting and swimming, I was totally exhausted. 
I had a wonderful time visiting with everyone, and Mommy will be sending more pictures via email. Now it is FINALLY time to hang out with mommy for a few weeks...woohoo.
The kitchen is my new favorite room, though. First of all, I get to eat in there! I am NOT a big fan of letting people feed me anymore. I can do it myself!!! 
It's also tons of fun to rearrange the furniture. If only I could figure out how to climb up on these things....hmmmmm. 
OH, and then there's the tupperware cabinet! Hours of endless entertainment! I love to bang things together and on the floor. Mommy has promised not to put a lock on this one :)
Throwing and spinning bowls is pretty awesome, and of course I have to put everything in my mouth. When the stuff I've pulled out becomes boring, I just climb right in for more.
My next post may be delayed a bit because I will be down in Nederland to visit my family for a few days. I'm sure I'll have a super fun update for you though!
I have also mastered the use of my ball-popper. I love to press the button to get it started and watch the balls go around and around. 
It's also pretty fun to bang them together to make noise, and of course I'm still putting everything in my mouth.
Saturday night I went to the pool with Kaly, Hannah and Campbell. I had a great time splashing around, and I can't wait for my next lesson on Wednesday. Something I'm not so excited about is napping in my crib. While a bedtime story is enough to get me to sleep in my bed at night, it is not enough to convince me to nap. I still want to be held! I did everything in my power to fight it today. I screamed. I cried. I learned that I could jump up and down. I threw my stuffed monkey out of the crib over and over and over. Mommy and Daddy eventually caved, but not before taking a few pictures to embarrass me with later on in life. 
Don't I look sad? How could they torture me like that? I was in a better mood in the evening, and we spent a lot of time outside. I LOVE crawling around in the grass, playing with rocks, and occasionally eating some dirt :) It's so much fun being a boy!
I like to grab onto my links and lean wayyyyy back. I'm practicing my water skiing skills!
Mostly, I crawl around and put everything in my mouth. I'm up to six teeth with more on the way! The drool is endless, and I love chewing on everything. 
I enjoy reading the latest business journal as well. 
Rocco filled me in on an awesome play spot.....the pile of clean, warm laundry! Laying around in that is niiiiiice. 
On the food front, I am eating everything in sight. I really prefer to feed myself, even if most of it ends up in my hair and chair! Tonight I had roast, mashed potatoes, peas and a mango dessert. YUMMY!!!! 
Currently, I am updating you from the guest bathub. There are VERY bad storms in the area, and the sirens have been going off for a while. We were told to take cover around 6:45 and are supposed to stay here until at least 7:45. We've got our pillows, flashlights, toys, and of course SNACKS! I always have to have my food and water. 
Rocco and I have been entertaining each other and watching daddy. Can we get out of here yet?
It's fading fast and will probably be better in the morning, but it hurt :( After some hugs and kisses, I feel much better though!!
On the food front, mommy told the ladies at daycare that I could eat food from the cafeteria. I've had all kinds of stuff this week: cheese toast, mandarin oranges, bananas, chicken nuggets, peas, breakfast bar, lasagna, green beans, crackers, cheese, and more!!! I love food :) Other than that, I've just enjoyed hanging out at home a little bit more. It was mommy's last week with students, so she's been able to come get me a little early. Only one more week of school for me, and two for her. We'll be heading down to Nederland soon and hope to see everyone there!
