Celebrating with Mom

The last few weeks of mom's time off were spent just goofing around.  Breneley and I always have so much fun!

We also got to celebrate Mother's Day with Mom and Nannie.  I was SO excited to give her the Mousetrap game that I made her open it before even getting up.  Once she did, we played it over and over and over.  It was so much fun building everything!

 We played outside most of the day, and Dad cooked an awesome dinner.

 I also convinced Dad to buy us a coconut.  We poked a hole in it and tried the milk (yuck!), and then we baked it in the oven before trying the meat. To open it, we pounded it with a hammer for a while, but throwing it down on the concrete finally did the trick!

 Later in the week, we celebrated Mom's birthday.  We had a nice dinner and a birthday fruit salad.

 What a fun week of celebrations!

A Day at the Museum

On Tuesday, we loaded up and took a trip down to the Perot Science Museum in downtown Dallas.  Uncle John and Aunt Liz met us there, and we spent the entire day looking around.  It was so much fun, and we didn't even have time to see everything!

 We went down to the children's museum first.  I LOVED playing in the farmer's market area.  I drove the truck, went shopping for fruit and veggies and sorted them back into their bins.

 When I got to the camping area, I had a bright idea.  I ran back to the farmer's market, grabbed some corn and potatoes and threw them on the campfire.

 Brenley is still too small to participate, so Aunt Liz carried her around to see everything.

 After playing at the water table, I headed into the construction area.  Moving those bricks upstairs on the conveyor belt was awesome.

 In the sports hall, we tested our reaction time, played with a tennis racket and raced a dinosaur!  The T-Rex may have beaten me, but Mom didn't!

 I got recorded kicking a soccer ball and then got to watch it back in slow motion.  We put the video next to one of a professional soccer player, and I had the same form.  I'm ready for soccer season!

 I got to build things and do lots of hands on experiments in the engineering area.

 I really liked dancing with my image on the big screen and playing with the infrared camera!

 After lunch in the cafe, it was time for the 3D Meerkat movie!  I had been looking forward to it all day.

 We finished up the day learning about space and the dinosaurs.  Those skeletons were HUGE!

 I got a Spiderman ice cream on my way out, and I had to pose by the giant frogs.  I can't wait to go back.

 Brenley and I are trying to enjoy Mom's last week on maternity leave.  It will be so fun having Nannie and Nana come keep us for a few weeks though!

 Brenley is growing so fast, and I can't wait until she is big enough to play with me!

Rolling Over!

 Even though her birthday is a few weeks away, Hannah had her birthday party on Sunday.  I got all dressed up in my fancy outfit.  Daddy said I looked so beautiful.  I love hanging out with my boys.

At the party, Carter got to paint a treasure chest.  He had tons of fun while I got passed around at the party.  I paid close attention to everything that was going on.

 Today is Mommy's last Monday on maternity leave, so she made sure the day was all about me.  We spent a lot of time playing on my mat.  I even did some tummy time without crying!  Then I surprised Mommy by rolling over from my tummy to my back!  I pushed over to my side, hung out for a while and then pushed all the way over.  Everyone better look out because now I am on the move!

Family Time

When Mom said it was time to meet some more of my family, I decided to get all dressed up.  Laughing and smiling are my favorite things to do these days.

We picked Poppy up from the airport, and he got to hold me for the first time.  Then we drove over to meet my great aunt Bertha.  She was soooo happy to get a visit from my brother and I! 

 Later in the weekend, we braved the cold weather at Carter's baseball game.  As always, he had a crowd of fans in the stands.  He was so awesome!

 Overall, we had a great weekend and a fun visit.

 The next weekend, Nana and Wilson came up for 24 hours to see two of Carter's games.  We had so much fun just hanging out together.

 When we don't have visitors, I have to find ways to occupy my time.  I'm really starting to enjoy my playmat, and I think it is so fun to hit the parrot when it hangs over me.

 Sometimes I get to dress up in frilly clothes, but I really like hanging out with my brother in my jammies.  He's a great cuddler!

 He's also an awesome cowboy...and a really deep sleeper!

 It's fun to be more awake and alert.  I'm ready to play!!!!
