All Grown Up....and HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANNIE!

Ok, so I'm not really all grown up, but lately it's been fun to pretend. It's pretty funny walking around the house in daddy's shoes, and I like pretending to listen to some tunes through mommy's earbuds!

The past two weeks have predominately been filled with playing outside. The weather has been so beautiful that I've been too busy to update all my adventures. I've been working very hard on my "step and throw" and "step and swing." We go to a lot of baseball games, so I watch those boys very closely. At school the directors have been coming outside with my class to watch me kick and shoot. Everyone is impressed with my skills, and I LOVE the attention!! I do have to confess that I've been pushing some boundaries at home and school lately. Mom and Dad are pretty strict on me, so we have the time-out system down pretty well. I've finally realized that it saves me a lot of time to just put myself into time out rather than waiting for them to come get me. That won me all sorts of brownie ppoints when I did it at school! I also think it is hysterical to blame stuff on Rocco. Anytime something crazy happens, I make sure everyone knows "Rocco did it!" If I didn't laugh so hard, people might actually believe me.
Other than that, I've just been living life. I constantly ask Mommy to play "more Cookie Song" and "more Monkey Tree song." I have not idea what they are really called, but I love to listen to them in the car or have people sing them to me! I also discovered the ice cream cone, this week! I've known for a while that ice cream was awesome, but putting it into a cone was the best. Yummy!!!

Tonight I got to go to the Allen Americans hockey game. It was a first for me, and I really enjoyed it. Those fans were crazy, but fun. I'll update with anything fun very soon!

Pirates!

School was very low key this week, but everything went well. I did lots of fun artwork, and I was on my best behavior. At home I've been pushing the boundaries a bit, and I've been spending some quality time in the time out corner. My tantrums aren't quite working out like I'd hoped! Friday night we went out to dinner, and we sat outside because it was so beautiful. My parents were not very understanding that I wanted to run around and play instead of sitting in my seat, and Daddy took me out to sit in the car because I was being so bad. I eventually decided to behave, so not only did I get a yummy meal...I got to ride the horse, too! On Saturday, Mommy had to work, but Daddy took me to a birthday party. I got to wear an awesome pirate hat and had a blast playing with all the different toys at the party. The best was the party favor I got to bring home: an inflatable sword!! I swashbuckled my way all around the house. So much fun! The rest of my Saturday was spent outside, and Daddy even let me indulge in a little ice cream since I didn't eat much cake at the party. I also played a little Guitar Hero with Mommy and stole Daddy's hat! This morning when I woke up it was cold and rainy. What happened to that awesome spring weather? The cold doesn't stop me though, so I bundled up and went out to play. I can't let a day go by without playing ball in the backyard!

OUTSIDE!

Spring is here, I'm feeling better, and outside is where I want to be. Luckily my family loves to be outside too, so we spend every evening out back playing until dark! We play soccer, basketball, golf, baseball and football, and I love every minute of it. My favorite toy right now is my Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ball because it works for any sport I want....and it has Mickey on it! I recently had my first encouter with Play-doh, and it is awesome. I like for Mommy to make it into two things...a ball (of course) and a bunny. It took her a while, but I think her bunny rabbits are finally acceptable. Friday night was beautiful, so we went to watch the Wolverines play baseball. It didn't turn out so well for them, but we had fun anyway. I flirted with all the girls in the stands, hollered at the umpire, and walked all over the park with Dad. I sure hope there are more baseball nights to come! Saturday Mom went to Austin to watch her soccer students win the state title, and I stayed home with Dad. We went all over town running errands, and then we went to the park. The most awesome part of the day was that I saw some real ducks, and I even got to feed them! Today was Rocco's 7th birthday, so we decided to go out after dinner to celebrate. We went to downtown Frisco, sat out on the benches and ate some yummy custard. Rocco got his own "poochy cone", and I shared with Mom and Dad. Once it was gone, I immediately requested "More birthday!", but my parents told me I would have to be patient until the next celebration. I'm looking forward to another fun week at school, and hours of fun outside!

HAPPY EASTER!

Long time, no blog! Last Wednesday, I came down with 103 fever at school. It ended up lasting for six very long days and nights. What started as a virus turned into two ear infections and a very bad staph infection on my arms. After lots of shots, medicine and love, I finally started feeling better at the end of this week. It was so bad that Nannie had to fly up to take care of me so my parents could go back to work. Luckily I got better by this weekend, and boy did I have fun! I'm so glad Nannie and PaPa were here to visit me for the holiday. Mommy and Nannie helped me dye some Easter eggs. I wrote on every single one before dropping them into the different colors. They sure were pretty! Daddy helped me put sports stickers on them once they were dry. When I woke up this morning, the Easter bunny had come for a visit. There were eggs hidden everywhere, both inside and out. My basket had candy, socks, a chocolate bunny, bubbles, a Magna-doodle and a new Elmo movie! Did I mention I got some new baseball shades, too? The girls came over for a fun Easter lunch and lots of play in the backyard. Before the egg hunt, we chatted with the boys, Nana & PawPaw online! We all hunted Easter eggs, and some of them had candy inside! I especially liked the eggs that looked like baseballs, footballs, soccer balls and basketballs. I love anything I can kick, throw or shoot! After finding all the eggs, we compared our loot and chowed down. At one point, we attempted to take a group photo, but that didn't turn out so well. While everyone else was distracted, I helped myself to Campbell's chocolate bunny! It's a shame Mommy caught me before I could get it open. It was a really fun holiday, and I glad I got to spend it with so many people that I love. Hopefully the next week we'll get back to our usual routine!

Spring Break and Spring Snow!

Spring Break ended this weekend with a bang! Mommy and I spent all day Thursday and Friday together. She even took me to the indoor play pool at the rec center, and I loved it. I wasn't afraid of the water at all, and we had a blast. Then, Nana, Pawpaw, Dylan, Wilson, Aunt Liz and Uncle John were all in town to celebrate Campbell's first birthday. When they got here, us boys all played ball outside. We had so much fun! Saturday I got to go shopping with Nana for some new shoes and a new bathing suit, and then we went to the party. I appointed myself keeper of the balloons, and I carried those things everywhere. I really don't think anyone else appreciates them quite like I do, and I have a pretty hard time sharing them. Campbell got all sorts of new toys that I graciously tested out for her, and I must admit that I LOVED the cake. Every time I ate a bite, I would say "Happy Birthday!" The biggest surprise of all came overnight though. Dylan stayed over, and we got some snow flurries that evening. We caught snowflakes, and even tasted some of that yummy fresh snow. Sunday morning we got to wake up to EIGHT inches of snow in the backyard!! No one predicted that, and Dylan thought it was the greatest thing ever. We played outside for a while before finally warming up by the fire. Hopefully it was the last cold day of the season. Now it's back to the usual school days, but only 11 more weeks until Mommy and I are off for summer!!!

To The Zoo!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! What a fun Spring Break I've had so far. Until today, we've spent almost the whole time outside in the backyard listening to music and playing ball. This morning we had breakfast and headed to the Fort Worth Zoo. We knew it would be crowded, so we got there right when it opened so we could see everything. It was so awesome to see all the animals from my books in real life. We saw everything you could think of...even meerkats! I loved everything and wanted to get as close as possible, except for the gorillas. They got right up to the glass in front of me, and I didn't like that one bit! I didn't cry, but I wanted out of there. I even got to pet a sting ray and starfish! It was awesome! I talked mommy into buying me a souvenier t-shirt and this awesome Ernie hat. My absolute favorite thing was the lion exhibit. I waved, talked, and ROARed to them. Mommy kept asking if I wanted to leave, and I said "No! More lion!." After a full morning, we headed back toward home. We stopped in Grapevine at the Rainforest Cafe, but the wait was WAY too long. We grabbed a quick bite instead and had some fun on the carousel. I love those horses!Other than the zoo, I've just been enjoying my Spring Break getting into mischief at home. Only a few more months until summer when I get to do this all the time!
Now it's full steam ahead to a fun weekend celebrating Campbell's birthday with all my cousins!
