Things have been absolutely crazy at my house with the start of school, so my blog is a bit behind. My first two weeks of school were ok. Mommy and Daddy weren't very happy with my school the first week because I had lots of bumps and bruises and not much love. I got bitten, busted my lip and my nose! After a BIG meeting, things got MUCH better. I had a really great time during week two! No one in our house got much sleep this past week though. I am getting some more teeth, and I cried ALL night. I seem to be on the upswing now though.
Mommy has been running around like crazy since her students started back, so our nights have been full of playtime rather than blogging. We've gotten into a good routine though. Every evening when Mommy and I get home, we play, play, play! Then when Daddy gets home we all sit down together and eat dinner. Next is my FAVORITE time of all.....outside time! After that, I usually run straight to the bathtub to play in the water. Then it's time for a story, bottle, a tooth brushing and bed. We have so much fun!! Recently I discovered the outside broom, and I had an awesome time playing with it. I tried to imitate my parents by sweeping, but that broom was just too big. Instead I just carried it around and twirled it around in the air. I was NOT happy that I couldn't carry it inside.
A few days later, Daddy came home with a surprise....a broom just my size!!! I'll help by sweeping in the kitchen occasionally, but I mostly like to knock things over with it. 
I also like to carry around all the video game equipment. One of these days they'll let me play! 
Today I got to do all kinds of things a big boy gets to do. Mommy keeps reminding me I'm still a baby though. Whatever! We left this morning to go run errands, and to my surprise the car seat was facing forward! I thought that was crazy! 
After a tasty lunch, we went to Toys R Us. When I got out and saw the store, I started clapping and smiling. I love that place! Turns out inside they have a salon just for kids. We went in, and I got my very first haircut!! I sat in Daddy's lap and was a very good boy. To keep me entertained, I got to watch the movie Cars, and one of the workers blew bubbles at me. I loved getting to pop them. 
Afterwards we got to go shopping for toys! Don't I look so handsome?
My Daddy bought me a baseball bat and tee for the backyard, and I already love it. What a great day!!

Mommy and I looked pretty nice for our first day back. I love all the awesome food I get to eat, and I've been reunited with some of my old friends. I don't mind drinking milk at school, and I even take my naps on the floor. Mommy just can't figure out why I won't do that stuff at home. 
Daddy picked me up early on Monday and we hung out at home during the late afternoon. After all that excitement, the power at the house went out! It got so hot in the house that we just piled in the car and went out to eat as soon as Mommy came home. What a crazy day!!! 
Today I got to stay home with Daddy because I had my final swimming lesson. I got an awesome ribbon, and I JUMPED off the jungle gym to Daddy multiple times. I'm going to miss hanging out with my friend Brae. School will keep me busy, but I'm still up to all sorts of mischeif at home. Under the coffee table is my favorite place again because I know how to get back out! 
My updates may slow down a bit while the family tries to get back into our old routine, but I'll keep you posted when I can!
I was definitely showing off for the camera. I am close to mastering the button on my 4-wheeler. I LOVE to ride it both inside and outside, but my absolute favorite is riding it backward. I'm such a daredevil!!! 
I've been working a lot on my vocabulary and have been practicing making all kinds of new sounds. I'm working very hard on "b" this week, and I've been trying to say balloon, book, ball, and more! (Yes, that's a new balloon!)
I love pointing at everything, and I wait for someone to tell me what it is. See that airplane Nannie? 
My outside play includes sliding, soccer, picking flowers and it seems to always end with me getting all wet! I want YOU to play with ME! 
I had so much fun helping mommy water her plants that I wanted her to water me too! 
The next night I wanted to help water with the can instead of the hose. I discovered if I stuck my arm in the opening, I could splash the water in there! 
The next night I ended up in Mommy's fountain. Water is fun! With school coming up, I have lots of business to take care of. I've been handling all my important duties via cell phone. HELLO! 
Mommy and Nannie forgot their cameras, but I got to take my first ride on the carousel at the mall. It was awesome!! I have had the greatest summer ever, and I can't wait for school next week!
Since my balloons no longer float, I've had to focus my attention elsewhere. I have to make sure my basketball net is just right! 
Daddy came up with a new game on accident the other night. He had his tape measure out, and I went after it. He let it reel in so I wouldn't grab it, and I thought it was HYSTERICAL. We played that game for a really long time! 
Then I wanted to play with my cookie jar. I've figured out that the shapes go through the holes, but I need a little bit of guidance pushing them in. When I get them through, I like for everyone to clap and cheer...including me! 
Today I went and played with Kaly, Hannah and Campbell while mommy and daddy went to the movies. I had a blast! When we got home, it was time to play outside. I have all kinds of toys out there too, but I love looking at mommy's flowers (and picking her some too). 
In other news, I am still rejecting milk in a sippy cup and my parents just don't know what to do. Mom tricked me for two days, but then I caught on to her game. On the healthy side though, I will eat up mandarin oranges and peaches faster than you can put them on my plate. Fruit and veggies for me, please! My new 7th tooth sure helps me eat them up. I need all that food so I have the energy to keep playing as hard as I have been this week!
On a HORRIBLE note, the doctor said it's time to get rid of my bottle. I DO NOT AGREE! Mommy and daddy have been trying to give me formula in a sippy cup. Don't they know that is for water? I have been screaming bloody murder for three days, and they just don't get it. Mommy did trick me tonight with some whole milk. She showed me the jug and poured some into her cup. Of course, I wanted what she had so she gave me a sip. I thought I liked it, so she put some in my cup. I mostly spit it out, but it wasn't so bad. At least I didn't throw it on the ground and cry like normal. Also, I'm having to practice walking in shoes because I have to wear them when I go back to school. You can't see them here, but Mommy's been making me practice. Growing up is hard!! 
As I've mentioned before, I have a new found love (and mild obsession) with balloons. The ones from my party don't float anymore, but I don't mind. I bring them with me wherever I go. They are so colorful. They make me very happy!! 
Other than that, it's just been playtime with mom and dad. We took a ride in my wagon for the first time and put on my new canopy. I had an absolute blast! I can't wait to take it for a picnic. 
Tonight when daddy got home, he filled up the pool and we went swimming! We took some of my boat toys out there, and I had an awesome time. 
There was lots of preparation for the event, and I decided to take care of the cooler. 
Then I got a glimpse of my new basketball goal and was so excited!! 
Once everyone arrived, all the kids jumped into the pool and ran through the crazy sprinklers. We had such a great time. 
Then, I got to eat cake.....again. I had a pretty awesome cupcake cake, and it was yummy. 
Everyone had a fun time playing with all my new toys. The living room looks like Toys R Us!!!
I have recently developed an obsession with balloons. For three consecutive days I have had at least one balloon in my hand at all times. They are awesome! Mommy and daddy love it because they can identify where I am at all times. Daddy is considering buying a helium tank and an endless supply of balloons. 
Today I took my new ride out for a spin with my Harley t-shirt on. I'm one bad dude! 
I had an awesome time this weekend and a wonderful first year. Thanks to all my friends and family for all the memories and fun times!!
We went to swimming lessons mid-day where I swam around with my friend Brae. We decided this week that we should both scream and cry when our parents try to bring us underwater. Now that we are both one, we want to be in control! We still had a blast the rest of the time.
After swimming, mommy and I had a blast playing on the floor at home. She keeps talking about going back to school soon, but I'm not sure what all that is about. I do know that we've been playing extra hard! After daddy got home from work, Uncle Troy, Aunt Jenny and the girls came over to celebrate. We had pizza, and it was yummy. 
Then, Hannah helped me blow out the candle on my birthday cupcake. 
I ate it all, and it was awesome. I even got to try a bite of mommy's chocolate one....mmmmmm.
Then I got to open more presents. The girls got me this awesome Little People three story garage. Mommy and daddy got me a toy that sticks on the refrigerator, but I liked the garage better. 
Kaly and Hannah had fun showing me how to play with it. 
After a long, fun day it was bathtime. 
Two celebrations down, and one to go. Year two, here I come!!!!
