A Fun-Filled Start to Fall

It's hard to believe this is my 200th post! I have had so many adventures the past three years, and there is no slowing down now. A few weeks ago, I went to the movies with my good friends Kennedy and Hailey. We loved hanging out together outside of school and soccer. Mommy had to remind me that it's not polite to kiss on girls...especially during the movie! I can't help that I love the ladies. Wakeland football has started, so we made a trip out to a game recently. Eventually lots of our friends showed up, and I even went down and met Wally the Wolverine. I screamed as loud as I could "Let's go BLUE!" For some reason, everyone thought that was too funny.I had a very successful trip to the dentist, and I got to pick out a brand new toothbrush. I've been practicing my swish and spit, and I love that I can use big boy toothpaste now! Soccer is still going strong and is better than ever. Last weekend, I scored a goal just as the game came to an end. It felt great! Today, Daddy was so proud of me because I was very focused and aggressive. At one point, I stole the ball, dribbled all the way down the field and kicked it in the goal. Soccer is so much fun! Last weekend, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Johnny and Nana were all in town. We danced the night away to some George Strait in the kitchen. Yeehaw! We also went out to the state fair, and I had a blast. I did everything you're supposed to do at the fair. I had a delicious Fletcher's corny dog, as well as funnel cake, cotton candy, and ice cream. I went with my parents, Nana and Kaly up in the ferris wheel. It was so high!! I got to see Big Tex, but he didn't say anything to us. I fed lots of animals at the petting zoo, and I even got to see some zebras. I learned all about farming and practiced harvesting fruit and eggs. They even gave me money to buy a snack when I turned in all my crops. Too cool! The auto show was one of my favorite things we did at the fair. I drove every car I could climb into, including a pace car and real race car. Vroom, vroom! I even managed to find a Heisman trophy, and I had to strike a pose. We wrapped up the trip by winning a ball on the Midway and riding plenty of rides! I'm so glad I got to experience the fair with my cousins.With cooler weather coming soon, there should be plenty more adventures on the way!

In Full Swing

The school year and soccer season are in full swing, and I have been very busy. We have soccer practice on Tuesdays, swimming on Wednesdays, and soccer games on Saturdays. The past two weeks in soccer we have played much older and bigger teams, but I have played my heart out. I love kicking the ball, and I am not afraid to push my way through the crowd. I haven't scored a goal yet, but I know my day will come. I love playing and I especially love having my dad as my coach! He makes sure we all have a fun time. I am also very excited that my new house is really taking shape. We go out several times a week to check the progress, and it is moving right along. I love walking into my new room, and I've already decided that when I start getting trophies, they will go in my window! For now, I am most excited about having an upstairs. I was thrilled when I got to go up the staircase to my new playroom! I don't have any pictures, but Daddy and I went to Nederland for a short visit. I had a wonderful time seeing all my relatives. I went swimming with the boys, watched Ryan's baseball game (and cheered REALLY loud), played golf with Nannie at MaMa and PaPa's, and played some lacrosse with Uncle Daniel. I can't wait to go back again very soon!

What a Weekend!

I almost had more fun than I could handle this weekend. Friday afternoon, Nannie surprised me by picking me up early from school. We had a fun afternoon before heading out for dinner and a quick visit to the lot. It's really starting to look like a house, and we almost have a roof! Saturday was a huge day for me. We started the morning off with my first official soccer game!! Daddy got us together for some stretching and warm-ups. We were ready to go! The other team was older and more experienced than us, but we still did a really great job. I had so much fun, but boy was it tiring running up and down the field. We did have the best crowd out there though, and even some of my teachers from school came out to watch. I was lucky enough to have Nannie, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Troy, Kaly, Hannah, Campbell, and of course my parents cheering me on!One game down and five to go. Later that afternoon, I went to Jack's birthday party. It was a blast, and I even did the zipline (without the bucket) all by myself! I sang all the songs and played all the games, including a killer baseball hit, and have you ever seen a better icing moustache? Saturday afternoon, we went to Hannah's soccer game and then finally just hung out at home. I had more fun than I could stand! Today Daddy and I headed down to Nederland for a few days, and I'm looking forward to spending some time with all my family there. I'll miss Mommy, but I promised her we'd be back soon!

Happy Labor Day!

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day. After two months of temperatures in the 100s, we woke up to a high of 85 degrees, and to make it even better...no school today! We rode bikes, played outside all day, grilled and of course had some quality time on the trampoline. I love playing with my cousins all the time, and they love playing with me! As for our new house, earlier this week we drove by to find a slab. I wanted to take a picture in my new room. I asked if we could sleep there, but Mommy said not yet. Bummer! This weekend I brought my camera out to snap a few photos of the framing. By the end of the week, that part should be done. I can't wait for new house to be ready. Swimming lessons are going pretty great. I really like my teacher, and this week I accomplished jumping in, turning around and swimming to the side all by myself! Best of all, I mastered the back float. I can finally do something that Dad can't do! I still don't like to get my ears wet, but I decided to accept that it just has to happen sometimes. I aced all my objectives at school this past week, and I even got to bring Monkey to show and tell! Other than that, it has been soccer practice and party time. I have been to three parties in the past two weekends! Seeing my friends outside of class is awesome, and the parties have been a blast. Another fun week ahead!

Ready, Set....Go!

The new school year has begun, and it is great so far. Monday was my first day in Suite 450, and Mommy and I took our annual back to school picture. I decided it would be a good idea to dress up a bit for my new teachers, and Mommy thought I looked very handsome!Instead of going into my classroom for drop-off, Mommy leaves me to eat breakfast in the cafeteria. It was hard for Mommy to leave me in there, but I like being a big boy! Friday was my first ever Show and Tell at school. The letter was "W" and the theme was "school', so I brought a whiteboard and presented it to the whole class. On Wednesday I started my new Super Aquatots swimming class, and my new teacher, Ms. Elizabeth, is wonderful. There are only two of us in my class right now, so I get lots of one-on-one instruction. I love to swim! Saturday was one of the most awesome days ever. I had my very first soccer practice, and I made sure to wear ALL of my gear. My new cleats and shin guards are too cool. My friends from school are on my team, and Daddy is our coach. It doesn't get much better than that! We are the Dynamos, and we will be the red team. I've already requested to have jersey #1, just like my Dad. Practice was a little crazy, but it will be so much fun. Gooooo Dynamos! Yesterday afternoon I suited up and headed out to Kennedy's birthday party at the pool. I jumped in a million times, went down the big slide and swam around a bit without any floaties. It is so fun seeing my friends outside of class, and I have another party today as well. I think this year is going to be the best!

Big Changes!

So my blogs have been lagging because there have been BIG changes going on! After two weeks on the market, we sold our house. I found so many crazy things while we were packing, and I was thankful that Nannie and Nana came to help us out. It is going to be like Christmas opening all those boxes when we move in! I'm sad to see the old house go, but I cannot wait for my new upstairs and a big boy bed.Goodbye 12032 Del Rio Drive............hello 1441 Cedar Ridge Dr! I am patiently waiting to become a Prosper Eagle =) In the meantime, we are homeless! Aunt Jenny and Uncle Troy were kind enough to let us move into their guest room, so I get to see my cousins every single day. It has been an adjustment, but I know we are going to have tons of fun. Tomorrow is the first day of school in my new room. I am skipping a room and going up to Suite 450, and I get to start computer classes. It will be interesting to have new teachers since Ms. Julie and Ms. Sarah have been with me for so long. I'm also skipping a level in swimming, and I'm looking forward to meeting my new instructor later this week. Only a few weeks until soccer season kicks off, and I already found out that my soccer team will be red and black...woohoo! It has been an awesome summer full of vacations, visitors, and craziness but it's time for another school year to begin!

I Am THREE!!!!

On Friday, July 29, I opened my eyes and immediately asked Mommy "Am I three?" She said yes, and I was so excited! When I got to the kitchen, I couldn't believe my eyes. There was a brand new, shiny big boy bike! I immediately took it outside to ride up and down the street, and I didn't even care that I was still in my pjs. Mom made me some Mickey Mouse pancakes for breakfast, and then Nannie, Mommy and I went to the mall to see Winnie the Pooh. We had a brief evacuation because something happened to the fire alarm, but once I finally got to watch the movie, I really liked it. I got to open a few more presents that evening, including some cars, an Elmo backpack I REALLY wanted, a Thomas bathing suit and a cool Cars umbrella. I love getting new stuff!On Saturday morning, I had an awesome Thomas the Train birthday party out at the splash park. Lots of my school friends came, as well as the girls and a few other kids. We played on the playground, splashed at the spray park, ate Thomas cake, and I opened lots of presents. It was so much fun! Monday I went for my three year old checkup and got an A+ across the board. I was 29 lbs (25%-50%) and 3 ft tall (25%). Along with turning three, there is a lot more change on the way. My parents sold our house, so we are packing up. I am so excited that we are building a new house, but I know I will have to be patient. We may even be living with Aunt Jenny, Uncle Troy and the girls while it is being built. Can you imagine the adventures we will have? There should be some exciting blogs to come throughout the next year!
