Time Flies!

I know, I know. It's been two whole weeks since I've posted, but things have been a bit out of the ordinary lately. For starters, I got pretty sick....two different times! I stayed home with Daddy for several days. When I went back to school, I caught something else and had to go home again. At that point Nannie came up to take care of me for a whole week. We had a lot of fun once I started feeling better! We read lots of books, did puzzles, and I showed off my extensive vocabulary! For a while though, all I wanted to do was sleep with my stuffed animals, hang out with mom and dad, and watch Wii basketball on the TV.One of my new favorite things to do at home is coloring! Aunt Jenny bought me a coloring book and some crayons, and we all went to town!! I want to color all the time, and yellow seems to be my favorite crayon. Since Mommy had to go out of town with her AcDec team this weekend, Daddy and I decided to head down to Nederland for a visit. We had a fun car ride down with Nannie, and one back with the girls. While I was there, I got to do all sorts of fun things and meet all kinds of new people. Everyone went out to eat at Larry's French Market for seafood and dancing. So much fun!!! I also got to celebrate at Peyton's 1st birthday party and a belated birthday for PawPaw. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Playing around with my cousins and relatives was lots of fun. I loved my Thomas the Train balloon and spent lots of time kicking and throwing balls around. I was definitely missing some college football this weekend! I did get to go to a Nederland basketball game where I met some of Daddy's old friends. While I didn't have my keyboard with me, I did stumble across Wilson's drum set. I rocked it out!! We also had fun making smores on the firepit, and I got to spend some quality time with my PawPaw. I'm so glad I got to visit so many people, but I was very happy to see Mommy when we got back. I'm looking forward to an exciting week as I transition up to the 18 month old room at school!!

BOOTS!!

I was so excited yesterday when a package came in the mail from my Nannie! I ripped it open and found a brand new pair of rain boots! I can wear them in the snow, mud, or rain. Mommy helped me slip them on, and I thought they were great. The eyes were the best. Thanks Nannie!! This week I got pretty sick, but Daddy stayed home with me until I got better. Other than that, it's been pretty uneventful. We've played outside, rode my tricycle, read tons of books, played Wii basketball, and my new favorite activity....PUZZLES! Today I hung out with my cousins and watched the Cowboys lose, and I'm looking forward to an extra day home with my parents tomorrow.

A Week of Changes

All kinds of things were going on this week. I never did get excited about going back to school, and I cried a whole lot. Changing my daily routine is hard! I know it makes Mommy sad, but I don't want to go! I've been asking for her and Daddy during the day, and a few days I waited at the door with my coat for her to come pick me up. Lucky for me, the weather was changing too. It was COLD this week....really cold. We had a surprise ice day on Thursday, so everyone just stayed home. We turned on the fire, stayed cozy in our sweats and played all day. I even got to watch a little TV. I loved sitting in my chair and on my stool, munching on goldfish and watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Hot Dog!! By the end of the week, I was exhausted. I couldn't even stay awake in the bathtub. Mom thought it was funny and started snapping pictures. I was not amused! This weekend we mostly played around the house. We did go watch the Cowboys game with my cousins and sat with them at church. I love hanging out with those girls! On Saturday morning, I woke up and decided that I am far too big and smart for a high chair. Those are for babies. I refused to get in and pulled myself up into the chair at the table to eat breakfast. Only my eyes were over the tabletop, but I made it work just fine. Mom, Dad and I finally negotiated an agreement that I would sit in my chair, but they would lower it to table height and ditch the tray. Also, I get to use my own utensils at all times, and no putting food in those baby bowls. I want the whole container please, and I will manage just fine! I'm looking forward to another exciting week, and then another long weekend with the family!!

A New Start to a New Year!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I spent my New Year's celebration just hanging out with my parents and covering the house with all my new toys. I got to ride my tricycle inside the house, and I even played a little golf. Over the weekend I also rediscovered the tupperware cabinet. We have a TON of that stuff, so I spread it out everywhere. Some of it is even good to sit on! After a few days of it being strewn about, Mommy and I reorganized everything. I doubt it will stay that way for long, though!Daddy has a hurt back, so he had to spend a lot of time on the floor. I didn't mind because he was down on my level. I was able to play with him all the time! Mom and Dad spent a lot of time reading books with me over the break because it is my favorite thing to do. I can say about twenty new words and will repeat anything I hear. I LOVE TO TALK! I showed off all my new skills when I went back to school today, and my teachers were impressed. Overall, I wasn't too happy to be there though. I had a few meltdowns, especially when Mommy left. I was so happy when she picked me up, and the best moment of the day was when Daddy got home. He and I played a fun game where I count to three, jump off my chair and he catches me and throws me up the air. It was AWESOME! Rocco and I have been playing some fun games lately too. We play tug of war, fetch (I love throwing his toys for him), and then I get to give him treats. We're best buds. Hopefully everyone has a great first week of the year, and hopefully mine will get even better!

Snow Much Fun!!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Being in Nederland, we missed the snowy white Christmas here in Frisco, but it snowed again yesterday for us. It was awesome staring out the back door at all the snow coming down. Last night I couldn't stand to stay inside, so I convinced Dad to take me out to throw snowballs. I wanted more, more, more! It was funny watching them poke holes in the blanket of snow. Unfortunately this morning all the snow was gone :( Mommy and Daddy played with me all day though, and I think there are a few more days of fun to come. I thought it was about time to test some boundaries around this place, and I've been putting Mom through the wringer. The madder she gets, the more I laugh...hehe. I win her back over though with lots of hugs and kisses, a flash of my dimples, and a few assorted phrases she thinks are adorable. You know, things like "pizza, pizza!; apple nummy nummy; banana!." Last night she was trying to make me go to bed, so I told her "All done, mama. DADA! DADA!" I thought she would be mad, but instead she laughed and made Daddy take over. Anyway, I've been having a blast with all my new toys. I love playing some tunes and singing away on my new keyboard. One day, I'm gonna be a STAR! I absolutely love climbing on everything (which is against the rules). I can even get all the way up in the barstools. I've taken a few tumbles, but I've got some awesome bruises to show for it. Several have come from my piano stool, but I just can't resist the fun!Daddy's new video game is fun to play, but I had to read the instructions and figure it out for him. I thought it was really complicated at first, but it turns out I was trying to read French! My favorite new video game is basketball because I love to JUMP when the player on the screen does. So much fun!This afternoon the weather warmed up and I got to ride around the neighborhood on my new tricycle. Everyone that passed by commented on how much fun I was having and how big my smile was. Basically, I'm just having an awesome time, and I wish I could stay home and play every day!

Christmas 2009!

What a very Merry Christmas this was! Overall, I got presents SIX different times. I'm not quite sure where we're going to put all my new stuff, but I love it! We started out on Christmas Eve morning with brunch and presents at Nannie's. Once we were done there, it was off to Nana's. All my cousins were there, and we opened tons of gifts. I carried around my golf clubs and played with Dylan on Peyton's new train. It was really hard to share, but I'm slowly learning. Then it was off to Aunt Mary Sue's house to see Poppy. We practiced building Thomas the Train out of blocks. So fun! After all that, I went back to Uncle Daniel's to get ready for bed. I really wanted to open a few more gifts first though, so I handed mommy the tape and my golf ball and she wrapped it up for me. I opened it at least a dozen times and thought it was great!! When I woke up on Christmas morning, Santa had come!!! I rode around inside on my new tricycle, played with my new puzzles, CDs, DVDs, and books. Christmas is awesome. I was so happy that I decided to say "Cheese" and smile for the camera during breakfast. I wasn't as excited to put on my dress clothes for church, but everyone thought I looked very handsome. Nannie was proud of how well behaved I was during church, and afterward we headed to MaMa Collins' house for more presents! My cousin Tatum gave me some blocks, and we had a blast playing with them. I made sure to help everyong else open their presents too! After all that food and present opening, I was tuckered out. It was time for a snooze in the recliner after a very busy morning. My day was not complete though. We made a few mores stops around town, and then I charmed my way into one more gift. Campbell had a present she was going to return, but I convinced Nana to just let me have it. I'm starting to think I can get whatever I want when I come down here to visit :) I hope everyone had as wonderful a holiday as I did, and thanks to everyone for all my fun gifts!!!

A Day at Nannie's

It's the day before Christmas Eve, and I've been running all over Nannie's place! I woke up this morning and ran straight to the tree. I've been practicing my self-restraint by pointing to each and every ornament without grabbing it. I am so ready to rip into all those awesome presents though! This afternoon the weather was beautiful, so Nannie took me outside to play. First we went down to the pier. I liked looking through the boards at the water. Then I wanted inside that boat!! I practiced driving and waving at the ladies. I explored every inch of that thing and even found some unexpected water in the cup holder. Uh oh!! We left the pier and headed onto the driveway. I pushed the wheelbarrow all over the place, climbed on the trailer, practiced driving the 4 wheeler and a tractor! I was a very busy boy! I even made my grandma's day by saying "Nannie!" It has been a ton of fun, and I know tomorrow will be even better!
